Ankr Teams Up with bloXroute on Boosting Blockchain Scalability, Frontrunning Protection and DeFi Infrastructure

Ankr, a leading Web3 infrastructure provider, announced today its partnership with bloXroute Labs, a blockchain distribution network (BDN) company, to boost its infrastructure performance and create new Web3 and DeFi solutions for the entire blockchain ecosystem.
The partnership addresses the challenges and opportunities associated with the rapid growth of Ankr that currently processes over 500 million calls to blockchains per day and over 1 billion transactions per month. An exciting sign for the industry, it’s also putting a lot of pressure on the security and scalability of the blockchain network infrastructures. To reduce the risks and create a P2P network that is fast and robust enough to handle the growing capacity, Ankr decided to partner with bloXroute Labs.
“Ankr is excited to start a collaboration with bloXroute by using their BDN network, which can be set up in just 5 minutes,” said Ankr Co-Founder and CTO Stanley Wu. “After 24 hours, we can keep track of stats related to our validator on its web portal, which matches our validator’s connectives and stabilities. We are working with bloXroute for a private transaction solution and believe that we will have an excellent result for the public very soon.”
bloXroute Co-Founder & COO Eyal Markovich commented on the partnership, “Today bloXroute is the fastest on-chain data propagation network on Ethereum, BSC and Polygon, creating tremendous value for mining pools, validators, Dapps and traders. Besides our technologies, our success is also attributed to our great partnerships with mining pools and validators. Launching support for a new blockchain also means dealing with new challenges and establishing new partnerships. Ankr is no doubt a key player in the proof-of-stake ecosystem. So we feel very excited about the opportunities to build a greater Web3 and DeFi infrastructure together with them.”
bloXroute is known for its work on improving network latency and DeFi trading efficiency. It came up with the first blockchain network layer scalability solution called the BDN in 2019 and introduced the first enterprise grade frontrunning protection solution in 2020. On Ethereum the BDN has been proven effective in helping mining pools reduce uncle rates and helping DeFi traders increase trading profits. In response to the market demands, bloXroute added support for BSC and Polygon in 2021. Given its protocol agnostic nature, the BDN can easily scale up to support more blockchain protocols as needed in the future.
Given many potential synergies, Ankr and bloXroute will focus their efforts on these three areas in the current stage:
- Blockchain Scalability. Layer zero scalability is still a novel concept to many people. Ankr and bloXroute will work together to advocate the BDN as an essential scalability solution to the core teams and communities of blockchain protocols that Ankr supports. Ankr will also be the pilot user and help with the bloXroute test when the BDN is deployed on a new blockchain. BSC is a good example.
- Frontrunning Protection. A blockchain platform is unlikely to reach its full potential on DeFi trading until traders can protect themselves against frontrunning attacks. Ankr will join bloXroute in creating frontrunning protection solutions, enabling protection for traders and more importantly growing the DeFi communities.
- DeFi Infrastructure. Network speed is critical for most of the DeFi protocols and DeFi traders. However, there’s been a lack of specialized DeFi network infrastructure solutions to fulfill the needs. By combining the expertise in node and staking service with bloXroutet’s advanced BDN technologies, Ankr can provide those protocols and traders a one-stop DeFi infrastructure solution with the best-in-class performance.
